Don’t forget the next Open Day for the ITS World Congress 2018!
We just wanted to remind you the Open Day for ITS Copenhagen is on the 23rd January 2018.
The Open Day will include general information on the ITS World Congress 2018 as well as details on how to become a commercial partner or exhibitor. We will also be looking at how you could engage in some of the other activities included in the Congress, such as what you could demonstrate and which debates you could engage in. Most importantly it will give you the chance to discuss how your organisation and 25th ITS World Congress, Copenhagen 2018 can work together to showcase the future of ITS.

Copenhagen is planning to have a Nordic approach at the Congress

Sweden have been requested to establish a National reference group where we can help interested Swedish participant with questions and to participate at the congress.

Utsläppen från inrikestransporter ska minska med minst 70 procent till år 2030 och Sverige ska vara klimatneutralt till år 2045. En ny klimatlag börjar gälla den 1 januari 2018. Under 12 år finansierar därför Trafikverket forskningsområdet fossilfria godstransporter med upp till 40 miljoner kronor per år.

På Världskongressen i Montreal fick Christer Karlsson ”Life Time Achivement Award” och en industrigrupp med bland annat Ericsson, Sweco och Swarco fick ”Industry Award”

26 September Nordic+ Conference and the
Swedish National ITS Conference 27-28 September

We would like to thank our colleguages in Finland and Estonia to help us make the conference as good as it was.

Vi vill tacka alla moderatorer, talare och deltgare att de två konferenserna Nordic+ och den nationella ITS konferensen 2017 blev så bra.

Vi var 137 personer från 7 länder som utbytte erfarenheter om Digitaliseringen inom transportsystemet.

På den sista sessionen med bland annat Statssekreteraren Mattias Landgren stakades vägen ut för ut för att Sverige skall bli världsledande inom ICT.

Vi kommer på måndag att lägga ut samtliga presentationer på hemsidan.

European drivers spend 10% of their driving time on secondary tasks, and 4% of hand-held mobile phone usage, such as typing or calling. There is an increase in phone usage when the vehicle is idle or driving slow. Truck drivers are distracted for even longer periods of time: the data shows they spend nearly 20% of driving time distracted, mostly on food and telephones. Nearly 3% of driving time is spent on the visual-manual use of the mobile phone, such as reading and writing text messages.

On 31 March did  the European Commission adopt the Delegated Regulation of the ITS Directive for the provision of EU-wide multimodal travel information services:

The European Parliament and Council will now be consulted on the Delegated Regulation for the right of objection with the aim of publishing in the Official Journal in the 4th Quarter of 2017.

On 31 March did  the European Commission held the first follow-up meeting with experts nominated by Member States to discuss the implementation of the delegated regulation and the upcoming CEF Programme Support Action.
